Hikarin / PRODUCT POLICIES

This is a hosted copy of the policy supplied with Hikarin. Original publisher details, dates and policy wording are retained. References to the service or sign-in screen concern the app, rather than this company website. App store releases and the planned product website are coming soon.

Hikarin Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy describes this on-device Hikarin Android build. It covers photo editing, local AI, editable projects, library previews, preferences and user-created exports/backups. Other apps, Android services, file providers and email services have their own policies. A later version with different data practices must explain those changes before introducing them.

2. Photos and project data

When you choose a photo, Hikarin imports a local copy for editing. Projects can contain the source photo, thumbnails, added images, text, masks, brush strokes, edit settings, layer placements and generated removal patches. Editable backups can contain these materials too. Saving a project copy or switching between imported library photos can retain several copies. Hiding the gallery hides the interface; it does not delete photographs or projects.

3. Local AI and face/body information

Portrait selection, face landmarks, pose guidance, makeup and AI removal run on the device using bundled models. Photos are not uploaded by Hikarin for these operations. Face/pose analysis is used to place editing effects, not to identify people or create accounts. Working model results are held in memory; saved edit commands can retain derived coordinates, masks and generated patches needed to reproduce an edit. Hikarin does not send these results to magicalcreampuff llc or use your photographs to train a remote model.

4. Photo metadata

Imported files may already include capture dates, camera details, filenames and location information in EXIF. Hikarin displays available file and camera information and stores identifying filenames for imported library entries. It does not request device location or record a new location. Exports may not preserve every original metadata field. Review both images and metadata before sharing; this app does not promise that every export, backup or source copy is a metadata scrubber.

5. File and folder access

Android's file picker lets you choose which photos to open and where to export or save backups. A default photo folder preference stores the selected folder URI and read access granted through Android so the picker can reopen there. Clearing that preference releases Hikarin's retained read grant for that folder. The folder is not automatically scanned or imported. A provider may offer cloud storage or keep copies under its own policy. Hikarin requests local-only file choices where supported; provider behavior is controlled by Android and that provider.

6. Preferences and temporary files

The app stores a local policy agreement record containing the accepted revision and time. That record is not sent to the publisher. The app also stores settings such as gallery visibility, metadata visibility, default folder information and the last selected library entry locally. Render previews, image buffers and model caches support editing performance. Technical diagnostic messages can include errors, dimensions, operations, filenames or paths in device logs. Hikarin does not automatically transmit these logs. People with access to your device or its development tools may be able to inspect local data or logs.

7. Network, advertising and analytics

This build has no account sign-in, advertising, purchase processing, analytics upload or remote crash reporting. It requests no Internet permission. It does not sell your locally stored photos or share them with advertisers. No publisher-operated server receives your editing activity through this build. This description does not cover network activity independently performed by your operating system, a chosen document provider or an email app.

8. Exports, backups and retention

Applied projects remain available until removed or app data is cleared. Deleting a saved copy does not necessarily remove another copy in the current workspace, another project, an export, a backup or the original library. App-configured Android cloud backup and device transfer exclude app data. Manufacturer, operating-system and manually created backups can have separate behavior. Exports and editable backups are ordinary files without additional Hikarin encryption; store them in a location suitable for their sensitivity.

9. Your controls

You may cancel a draft, remove saved projects, clear the default folder, change display preferences and choose whether to export or back up. Android's app settings can clear Hikarin's storage, and uninstalling generally removes app-owned data. Files saved outside app-owned storage, original photos, external exports/backups and copies held by other services must be removed separately. Deletion is not a guarantee of physical secure erasure from flash media or third-party backups.

10. Security

Hikarin relies on Android's application storage and permission boundaries and limits editing to user-selected inputs. Those measures do not make a lost, unlocked, rooted, compromised or shared device immune to access. Keep the device protected and keep separate backups when needed. The publisher cannot remotely recover local projects that were never sent to it.

11. Contacting the publisher

If you email [email protected], the publisher receives the information you choose to send, including your email address, message and attachments. That information may be used to answer the inquiry and investigate the reported issue. Send only material necessary for your request. Support correspondence is separate from on-device editing, and there is no fixed support-correspondence retention period stated in this release. You may request information about, access to, correction or deletion of that correspondence, subject to applicable law and any records that must be retained.

12. Children and privacy rights

The app does not use accounts or ask for an age or a child's contact details for editing. Photos involving children have the same local handling described above. A parent or guardian may contact the publisher about correspondence a child has submitted. Where applicable law provides privacy rights or complaint rights, those rights remain available. The publisher generally cannot access your on-device project data; local deletion/export controls are the direct way to manage it.

13. Changes and contact

The version and policy date are available in Settings. Review updated policies with future releases. Privacy questions or requests concerning information actually provided to the publisher can be sent to [email protected]. Do not send private photos merely to ask a general privacy question.
