Hikarin / PRODUCT POLICIES

This is a hosted copy of the policy supplied with Hikarin. Original publisher details, dates and policy wording are retained. References to the service or sign-in screen concern the app, rather than this company website. App store releases and the planned product website are coming soon.

Hikarin Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms describe use of the Hikarin Android photo editor distributed by magicalcreampuff llc. Read them together with the Privacy Policy in Settings and licenses distributed with the app. Mandatory rights provided by applicable law are not waived by these terms. First use requires an explicit agreement before the editor loads photos. Policy links are available before you decide. Declining exits the app without changing your existing local projects. The agreement revision and time are recorded only on the device. Ordinary updates do not require another agreement unless the policy revision changes. If you do not agree, stop using the app; existing external exports/backups remain under your control.

2. The application

Hikarin provides on-device photo editing, local AI-assisted selections/removal, retouching, makeup, reshape, layers, masks and related tools. This build does not require an account or provide cloud storage, hosted projects or remote photo processing. Particular features, model accuracy and supported files depend on the installed version and device. Local previews, drafts and applied edits are different states; export and project-copy operations use the behavior described in the app.

3. Permission to use and third-party licenses

You may use a lawfully obtained copy for lawful photo editing in accordance with these terms and applicable licenses. Rights in Hikarin's software, branding and bundled materials remain with their respective owners. Third-party libraries and models may have their own license terms; those terms continue to apply, and these terms do not reduce rights granted by an open-source license. Access to an editing tool does not grant ownership of another person's images, fonts, logos or other materials.

4. Your content

You keep the rights you already have in the photos, text and other content you import or create. Local editing does not transfer ownership of your photographs to the publisher. Hikarin does not upload your editing content in this build. You are responsible for obtaining the rights and permissions needed to import, edit, use and share content, including rights of people depicted when applicable. Choosing to contact support and provide an attachment is a separate voluntary disclosure described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Lawful use

Do not use the app or your outputs in a way that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity or other rights, violates applicable law, or distributes unlawful material. Do not misrepresent an edited image in circumstances where doing so would violate the law or another person's rights. These terms do not require the publisher to inspect your local photographs or authorize it to remotely monitor your editing activity.

6. Creative and AI-assisted results

Editing and local AI produce creative results that can include unwanted edges, artifacts, changes in anatomy, color differences or unsuitable generated content. A preview or completed operation is not a promise that the result meets your purpose or matches another product. Review the output before applying, exporting, relying on it or publishing it. Model results can vary with lighting, pose, occlusion, image size and device resources. The app may reject an operation or offer a fallback when an input or memory budget cannot be supported.

7. Projects, backups and exports

Keep independent copies of important original photos. A saved project, the active workspace, a temporary preview and an exported image are not interchangeable. Unapplied drafts may be lost when changing tools or leaving a session. Clearing app data, uninstalling, storage failures and incompatible or interrupted operations can make local work unavailable. The publisher does not operate a cloud recovery service for this build. Editable backups may contain originals, added assets, masks and edit history; protect them accordingly. Deleting one copy does not remove copies stored elsewhere.

8. Devices and outside services

You are responsible for the device, sufficient storage and the operating-system permissions required for your chosen actions. Android file providers, email applications, device backup/transfer tools and other services operate independently. Their availability, access restrictions, charges and terms are their own. A default photo-folder setting is a convenience for supported Android pickers, not a promise of access to every folder or library.

9. Updates and support

Updates may change tools, defaults, supported formats or compatibility. Keep project backups before significant updates. Availability of a particular feature, indefinite maintenance, immediate response times and restoration of lost local data are not guaranteed. This build has no paid subscription or purchase workflow in the app; any future separately offered paid product would need to state its own pricing and applicable terms. Send support questions to [email protected], identifying the app version and the issue where possible.

10. Warranties and responsibility

Except where the law requires otherwise or an express written commitment states otherwise, the application is supplied as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free results or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher is not responsible for losses arising from your use of unsupported inputs, failure to keep backups, third-party services or your publication/use of edited content. Nothing here excludes a warranty, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including responsibility that applicable law requires for fraud or intentional misconduct. No fixed damages cap is established in these terms.

11. Ending use and changes to terms

You may stop using the app at any time. Remove app-owned and externally saved data separately when desired. If a later release materially changes these terms or data practices, the changed terms should be supplied with that release; these terms do not authorize unannounced remote data collection. Provisions about content rights, third-party licenses, responsibilities and non-excludable legal rights remain relevant to actions already taken. If a provision cannot be enforced under applicable law, that does not remove mandatory rights or automatically invalidate unrelated provisions.

12. Questions and applicable rights

Contact magicalcreampuff llc at [email protected] for questions about these terms. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a specific court venue or a selected governing jurisdiction. Laws and non-waivable consumer rights that apply to you continue to apply. Publisher identity, contact, installed version and the policy date are available in Settings.
